For construction and the trades
A 401(k) for your crew.
Field crews, office staff and owners, with hours that change by season and by job. A clear proposal shows how one plan fits that, what it costs and who does the work.

What a good proposal shows.

Administrative and investment fees, set beside the services you receive.
A fit for owners and staff
Plan options weighed against seasonal hours, union and non-union crews, and how much the owners want to save.
Clear responsibilities
Who handles setup, payroll, recordkeeping, testing and filings, and what stays with the company.
What's different for construction and the trades.
The parts of a plan that matter most in your line of work.
Seasonal hours
For plan years beginning after 2024, a 401(k) generally has to let employees with at least 500 hours in each of two consecutive 12-month periods make their own contributions. Tracking hours across jobs matters.
Union and non-union crews
Employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement can be left out of the plan's coverage testing when their retirement benefits were the subject of good-faith bargaining.
Crews who move between companies
A vesting schedule decides how much of the company's contributions someone keeps when they leave. Employees' own contributions are always fully theirs.
